Zircon Sand
1、Appearance: Light tan to beige granular powder, hard in texture and high in chemical stability.
2、Main Applications:
(1) Ceramics and Refractories: As a core raw material for ceramic glazes and refractory materials, it can significantly improve the whiteness, gloss and high-temperature resistance of ceramics, and is widely used in architectural ceramics, domestic ceramics and precision ceramics.
(2) Nuclear Industry: A key raw material for the production of sponge zirconium and nuclear-grade zirconium materials. Zirconium alloys feature excellent corrosion resistance and a low neutron absorption cross-section, making them essential materials for core structural components in nuclear power plant reactors.
(3) Foundry and Chemical Industry: Used as molding sand and precision casting coatings in the foundry industry, as well as corrosion-resistant containers and catalyst supports in the chemical industry.
3、Industry Status: Zircon sand is an important strategic mineral resource supporting high-end ceramics, nuclear power, military industry and other fields.
